Help, please..
WBW, Fremus.
Hallo Fremus,
willkommen an Bord. Frage, wieviele Festplatten hast Du in Deinem Rechner?

*YAHOO*

Hey, Fremus was a german participant. Ok now in english:
welcome on board. Question, how many hard drives has your computer? Has grub written the mbr in the one of the right drive? I made this mistake and I solved it by a new installation. this takes five minutes and you are ready.

Hi, Yogibaer! *WRITE*

SAMity was installed on DELL Optiplex 320 computer. There are only one SATA HDD, 512Mb RAM, ATI™ Radeon™ Xpress 1100 Professional chipset and Intel Pentium D CPU on PC.

Two OS's was installed and work for 3 years: WinXP and SAM Linux Desktop 2007. *THUMBS UP*
At last month a upgraded Linux to SAMity RC2 and have a GRUB misstake. WinXP loaded OK.
I tried to install SAMity 2010 test (10-Aug-2010), UNity PURE 2010 and SAM Linux 2009 too.
But GRUB error was repeate. After PC rebooting I have a black screen with kernel boot message.

Grub was written the mbr on sda7(linux) and then tried on sda1(ntfs)
Acronis boot manager does't find linux on sda7 *WALL* too.

Thank you, Yogibaer!

I think it's specific hardware problem. :(

I have heard that some SATA - drives make trouble. BUT: Did you try to add a cheatcode to the bootline? You can do this by pressing F3 and then the line shows up and you can add something like noapic or so. I have no clue which you should try but for the others as well it would be nice if you could check these things out.
